• About the Author

  Ting, the author of Camus in Pumas, is an English teacher and an author/poet. Currently, she is working on several projects such as Zombie High and a collection of poems. Camus in Pumas is an outlet for her so that she can post new inspirations for teaching and previews for pieces of writing. However, she is afraid that Camus in Pumas will just turn into a blog of rants about her teacher life. Regardless, she believes that a funny image of the famous existentialist Albert Camus wearing Puma shoes is hilarious, so maybe the cleverness of the Tumblr’s name alone will keep her posting. No promises though.

  Because Ting was born in Hong Kong, China, and lived in Charleston, SC, for most of her childhood, her poems have a lot to do with amalgamating seemingly contradictory Chinese and American Southern identities while growing up.

  Ting currently lives in North Carolina and owns one pair two pairs of Pumas.
